Sorry to end it on a cheesy note. Maybe it's because I got to spend the day with Matthew (which is tons more time than we get together during the week) or that I had a mini-crisis where I felt totally uncared for by everyone who isn't family...but I'm better now.

 I am going to blow a gasket when I talk to my building super. They sprayed for roaches in march and figured that would end the problem? The other day I found an empty egg casing on my counter. That sucks cause it means there are little babies running around feeding off the things in my kitchen. Well, the counter and kitchen was clean today BUT when we got home from the in-laws, I turned on the light to put some juice away and there were over TWENTY little baby and adult roaches running on the walls and counter tops. EW!

After I had my little freak out I told Matthew who said to spray the counter. I'm not supposed to put that on surfaces you eat on, but I needed to get rid of the buggers, so I went on a rampage. I have a feeling that they were in the toaster where I saw the egg casing EW. So I'm going to call and complain to the super tomorrow. I need to tell him because this is rediculous. My father runs a series of  buildings next door for retired peoples and they spray once a month to make sure there aren't roaches popping up. I don't know why they don't do that here. It's disgusting to live in!

yet another reason why i need a job to get out of this place and into a house.

We're home from Cuba. We're still in a flurry of after-wedding stuff to do so I will be sparce. Once I get the pictures together I'll post our favourites.

The wedding was lovely and Cuba was just great.

Saturday is the day! All I have to do left is clean up this apartment and get my nails done (tomorrow) and then it's all wedding day stuff! Whoo, I can't believe we've come this far.

I've been having trouble sleeping...like vivid dreams and restlessness...I woke up nervous this morning. It's good nervous...I just don't want all those eyes on me...I guess I'll pretend that everyone is looking at my dad and then ignore them all once I'm with Matthew. :) Yeah, that's the ticket.

So if you don't see me around it's because we're on our Honeymoon. If you have my MSN feel free to txt message my phone...I can't garuntee I'll reply though. lol. The forecast in Varadero is calling for rain all next week...That's fine, I'll just cuddle up with Matthew *cough* or go running about in the rain. hehe.

Feeling crappier today.

Last night my body was so exhausted and flushed that I went to bed as soon as my friends left. Let me not forget to mention the pounding headache I had too.

I slept until a few minutes ago waking up or getting up one or two times because I was feeling uncomfortable or nauseous.

So now I have a horrible throat (I gotta check to make sure it's not strep) and I just feel uncomfortable all over :S Not cool.

Top that off with the weather here and I'm one uncomfortable lady. It's warm outside, which should be great, except that my apartment has no air-conditioning. It's dry and warm, but luckily I have a ceiling fan :)

So I'll wander around the apartment in a tank top and wrap skirt until I can get this sick feeling in order. I usually don't make a big deal about minor illnesses (we all get colds!) except that I haven't been sick since December.

I love my hypersensitive immune system for that :)

sping is here. I can feel it. I woke up yesterday with a nasty sore throat. today it's just the same, if not worse. My body aches and my head aches and all I want to do is sleep.

Yes, a nap would be nice.

But I have friends coming over in two hours and I still need to do the dishes.

BUT this could also be allergies. Today's pollen count for Birch was moderate and Oak was high. Two things I'm highly allergic to. I think I'll take a clairitin (non-drowsy) and an advil and hope for the best.

I'll sleep well tonight :)

On Saturday I was at my parents. I had made an appointment with the spa that is doing my wedding hair and make up to have a facial done. My skin is really dry during season changes and this was no different. On top of that, my apartment is really dry and it's drying me out.

So anyways, I went for my appointment. I got into a warm little bed with my spa wrap around my chest and bundled up. It was heavenly. She cleaned my face and steamed it while I rested. I thought I was going to fall asleep but I didn't. The steam was consentrated over my nose and I couldn't breathe that clearly (of course). But it's a great feeling nonetheless.


So now I've tried to be better about my cleansing routine. I don't always wash my face twice a day and I've probably been using products (like Oxy) that dry out my skin more than it should. The lady said my skin was really tight for someone my age and it had to be remedied because it can cause premature wrinkles.

It's three days later and how is my skin? Dry. Flakey. BUT, my acne it starting to clear up. The moisturizer is great to put on right after the cleanser...it smells like a banana peel. BUT it doesn't retain the pretty moisturized feeling skin that I had coming out of the spa. I've had to go back and use my own moisturizer after i scrub the dry skin off my face...(sorry, TMI, I know)

I'll try drinking more water, I'll try a humidifier in my room...I just don't get it. What the heck is a girl supposed to do about dry tight skin to make it go away? Well I guess it's back to the drawing board...or I can count down my days until my next facial (10 days!)

Ah, today Spring has truly arrived.

It's 11C right now and it's not even 10am yet :)

Sure it's going to rain today, but it'll be a high of 15C and it's only going to get better.

Saturday my mom and two sisters-in-law are having a family bridal shower for me. It's going to be cousins and aunts as well as my maid of honour and future mother-in-law. I'm excited to go, but...I don't know what to wear!

I've narrowed down the pants. They're a black wide leg dress pant with pockets. Most dress pants don't have pockets, but these pants are very comfy.

I am at a loss as to what to wear for a top, though. I had tried on this deep red/maroon short sleeved top that really looked nice. It's got an asian collar with details but it's kinda shiny and might be a bit too much for the party. I'm expecting it to get a little warm in the house so I am leaning for shorter sleeves but with lots of colour.

The other top I've tried on is more of a lighter maroon in two pieces. The tank top is just that with a really nice crocheted top part to the back. It has a knit short sleeved shrug over it. Also nice, but I don't know if it goes.

I'd love some suggestions on this. Maybe I'll find something in my closet that will work in the end.

Last week Matthew's father taught a lesson in our pre-marriage classes about Understanding Personalities and Temperments. I learned A LOT about myself that night. I'm glad I can recognize some of my behaviours and tendancies as a part of a certain type of personality now.

I figured I'd share them. They are based on four categories that Hippocrates created. Hopefully I won't have to explain them too much and you'll find yourself in here somewhere too.

Disclaimer: no one is just one personality. you have one prominant one and are a blend of the others. ALSO, each personality trait is good when they're in balance (even the negative traits) so keep that in mind when the bad looks downright ugly.

I'm now a working freelancer. I sat down in a meeting today and now I'm working as a designer for webDragOn.com.

Basically it's a server that uses a content management system. Myself included, there are now 3 people officially working for the company. The "programmer", the content person (me) and the graphic designer.

This means that I am going to take client specifications and work with the graphic designer to create the layout of their pages. I get paid $25 a page, which is nice. I have some things that I need to get done for next week, which will keep me busy and facilitate being creative. Especially when you're given a website and told to do whatever you want with it...it's a test of my abilities, but I won't let them down :)

I'll let you know the progress, and display the results as I am able to.
